Illustration inspired by Népal's "2016-2018" project 🕊️🌃

I chose to draw on his motto 444 nuits, which stands for all the sleepless nights he spent creating his art. I staged one Népal for each state he might have been in during those nights: creation, work, reflection and rest. The scene unfolds in his bedroom, a space where he is isolated and can fully focus on creating. I tried to honor Népal as best I could, and it's also a deeply personal drawing that truly means a lot to me.
